1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern use of Shopify Product Descriptions AI ("the App"), operated by MB Procrastinatorius, operating as Product Descriptions AI ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, the merchant agrees to these terms.
2. What the App does
The App helps merchants:
- load Shopify product data into an embedded workflow
- generate product-content drafts using structured catalog facts
- apply merchant playbooks and saved settings
- review deterministic QA findings
- selectively apply approved fields back to Shopify
- optionally run Auto Optimize for newly created products, subject to saved quality and credit controls
The App combines a human-review workflow with optional new-product automation. It is not a promise of perfect autonomous copy generation.
3. Merchant responsibility
Merchants remain responsible for reviewing generated content before it is published to their storefront or other channels.
Merchants are also responsible for:
- confirming factual accuracy
- complying with advertising, marketplace, accessibility, and consumer-protection requirements
- avoiding prohibited or infringing content
- reviewing product changes before applying them or after Auto Optimize publishes an internal app-side run
Auto Optimize can write supported product fields back to Shopify after a new product is created. Merchants are responsible for reviewing published product content and may use the app's revert action when no later Shopify-side edits conflict with the stored Auto Optimize snapshot.
4. Plans and billing
The App uses a credit model where 1 credit equals one product generation. New shops receive a one-time free credit grant. Additional credits are purchased as one-time credit packs billed through Shopify's billing system. Charges are handled by Shopify according to Shopify's billing terms. Purchased credits do not expire; one-time purchases are non-recurring.
5. Product changes
We may improve, change, or remove features as the product evolves. Current limitations include:
- suggested image alt text is preview-only
- Auto Optimize only handles newly created products; existing-catalog bulk automation is not part of the current scope
- no multilingual workflow yet
6. Third-party dependencies
The App depends on Shopify and on Azure AI Foundry for AI draft generation, and runs on self-managed cloud hosting (CapRover). Availability of the App may depend on these third-party services.
7. No guarantee of outcomes
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Generated outputs may be incomplete, imperfect, or commercially unsuitable without merchant review. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to abuse, security issues, or platform requirements. Merchants may stop using the App by uninstalling it from Shopify, which begins the data-deletion process described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
